Born at Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu in 1984, Rahul did his schooling in various parts of the state, as his mother was a District Judge who had to serve a different region every 2-3 years. Trichy was where he spent a significant part of young life, growing up with an active interest in sports as well as performing activities.
However, Chennai was where he was destined to, where he did his college as well as where he took the first strides of an illustrious career.
